Competition season for the Honaker High School Marching Tigers has come to an end.

We had a strong finish and could not be more proud of the hard work, dedication, and progress the group has made. Here's the results from our performance at today's Big Blue Classic at Richlands High School.

Class A-1

- Music: 2nd Place
- Marching: 1st Place
- Drum Major: 1st Place
- Percussion: 1st Place
- Overall Class A-1: 2nd Place
- Rating: Excellent

- Big Blue Classic George Brown Audience Choice Award

What a blessing we received from Valley View Baptist Church this morning. These wonderful people rose up early and have been cooking up a magnificent homemade breakfast for the band since around 6am.

Today was without a doubt the best rehearsal we've had this entire season. No stress, no tension, just a fun refresher before Saturday's competition at the Richlands Big Blue Classic, which will draw our competition season to a close.

There will be some awesome talent on the field Saturday. Come on out to Richlands High School and enjoy a great day with some awesome performances.

Your Honaker Tigers will kick off the Big Blue Classic at 10:45am. We'd love to see you there.

We would like to thank the parents of the Rye Cove Marching Eagles and the band students from Union for helping us get our pit percussion, and props out to the field at McChesney on Saturday. Without them, we would have been delayed. Thanks to all involved.

Thank you Marching Bears Photography for capturing this precious memory. Elizabeth is a Senior at Honaker High School and is an exceptional Drum Major. Today was certainly the best day in marching band for these Honaker Tigers.

It was great to celebrate alongside our neighbors from Buchanan County this evening. They too received a SUPERIOR rating at the McChesney Band Festival. Awesome job Buchanan County Marching Band!

To say that we are proud of this little group of Marching Tigers is an understatement.

Celebrating the first SUPERIOR Rating for the Honaker High School Marching Band since 2009. These guys & gals have dug deep all week and it is great to see them celebrating such a significant accomplishment. Awesome job Tigers!

Congratulations to the Lebanon Marching Pioneers for a 1st Place finish in all captions for Class A-2.

Congratulations to the Castlewood Marching Blue Devils on their accomplishments today, including the being the first recipient of the McChesney Esprit de' Corps Award.
