THREE DAYS TIL OUR VAN-GLORIOUS EVENT! (Some of y'all too young to know about Van-Glorious but trust me its good).

We are going to have a ball. Great food, drink, music and great artistry. Mix in a little social commentary and networking and its a gala. This is not just an open mic. It's a showcase, it's a networking opportunity its America how we need it to be! (Okay I am laying it on thicker than cheap cake frosting, but you get the drift) So as "Lift Every Voice and Sing" plays in my head I cordially invite all to come join us at 1918 Catering this Saturday nite July 28th for "An Evening With Michael Harriot & Friends. Here are the answers to some of the most frequently-asked questions about the event:

WHAT TIME DOES IT START?
From 7 pm-8:30 we will hold a cocktail hour/meet and greet with drinks and food by 1918 Catering.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
From 8:30-9:30 Michael Harriot will share poetry, stories and insight and a forum-style discussion about his life, his art, his writing and a variety of other topics.

The evening will be interspersed with performances from some of Michael's favorite artists, poets and musicians.

A Q & A session open to the audience will follow.

HOW DO I GET TICKETS?

We cannot reveal this here but these questions and others will be answered at the event. We will also settle the argument about sugar vs. salt in grits, whether or not a hot dog is a sandwich, what the lonely do at Christmas and who actually let the dogs out.
