One of my favorite things about teaching is thinking outside of the box to create ways to engage students in their learning.

We practiced these wall drills to encourage our ballet students to understand using the floor as leverage to push away in their sautés and spring off the floor. We also worked on allowing those ankles to lengthen, stretching the toes the moment their feet leave the floor!

We’re pretty proud of the hard work they’re putting in! 😊

Meet the Instructor || Miss Brier

I’m a bit behind with our final Meet the Instructor post, but it’s not for lack of amazingness! We are so blessed to have Miss Brier teaching our littlest dancers on the floor this season. Miss Brier is a senior at Signature Dance Co. this season and she’s got a heart of gold! She’s also a USTD Ambassador where she gets to share her passion for dance with her exceptional leadership qualities!

{Favorite Style to dance to}
My favorite style to dance to is 100% Contemporary.

{Favorite Style to teach}
I love teaching beginner ballet/jazz because it’s the style where young dancers begin to experiment and learn how to move their bodies in beautiful ways.

{Favorite thing about teaching}
My favorite thing about teaching is creating a safe space for dancers to express themselves through movement.

{Where can we find you when you’re not on the dance floor}When I’m not on the dance floor you can find me doing community service or with the people I love most.

{Go to Coffee Order ☕️}
I’m not much of a coffee drinker but I absolutely love an iced chai latte with oat milk and cinnamon.

{What are you reading 📖}
I’m always reading a mystery or dystopian book.

{Any Pets 🐱 🐶}
I have a dog named Wesson, a tuxedo cat named Smith, a fluffy cat named Lotus, and a chinchilla named Honey!
