Shoutout to this client of mine... who also happens to be my older sister, for being another supporter of mine, from when I first started tattooing to now. Over the years we have been slowly adding pieces dedicated for her daughter to her leg. Looking at each design from the very first one to now I can see a difference in my work. Each tattoo a little better than the last. Showcasing my growth as a tattoo artist.
When I first started tattooing I was really only comfortable doing smaller pieces. Mainly line work styles, with minimal shading. We would finish one and discuss what she wanted next and each design started to add in elements that pushed my abilities. Even if I was unsure of how something would turn out, she trusted me. I'm very thankful for that.
We are starting to wrap the leg sleeve up by adding a fishnet pattern in the open spaces as filler to tie it all together. After this one is finished, we've already discussed her next large scale piece... and it continues to test me, push my limits, but I'm not going to let it scare me anymore. It's the kind of challenge that I need to continue to grow.
There are only a few people who have supported this journey of mine since day one. Thank you for being one of them sis! β€οΈ
