On Tuesday 9/18, only one week after the tragic events occurred, smoke still smoldering and filling the sky, we ventured back to New Jersey for re-shoots. It was too soon, too raw, too much.

I pray one day I have the opportunity to reconnect with Denis Leary, share a moment, share a hug, and give some love reflecting on that heartbreaking day together on set. This is where his idea for his next series, "Rescue Me," came from.
The PTSD from this horrific and life changing event has resonated with me every single day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, for the past 25 years. For those who know me well, you know I pray every single time I hear sirens, and this is why. I learned on 9/11 you need to pray for both those in the emergency vehicles and those they are going to save.
And then in 2018, I booked a role on a TV series titled "9-1-1" playing a first responder. The significance and relevance of this career changing opportunity is not, nor will ever be, lost on me, in any regard.
THANK YOU to those 2996 souls who lost their lives that day, heroes in and out, in every sense of the word. To all of their family, friends, and loved ones who lost someone that day, I know the sorrow, pain, and heartbreak will never go away, and I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. And to the more than 10,000 souls who have lost their lives from related illnesses, cancers, toxins, poisoning, et al from the aftermath of the 9/11 events, I hope you know you will NEVER be forgotten.
And so, today, every day, and every time I hear sirens, I pray for them, I pray for you, I pray for all of us, and I will never forget, I will never forget, I will never forget.
