The Office of is honored to be a part of today’s Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the Armory Community Center at Dowdy Field.

This 2019 voter-approved General Obligation Bond project has transformed the old armory building into a state of the art indoor sports facility with basketball courts, batting cages, soccer goals, ADA compliant restrooms, office space, community meeting areas, and storage. The exterior also shines with a new paint scheme, improved landscaping, and a seamless connection to Dowdy Sports Field.

Today, we had the honor of attending the groundbreaking ceremony for the brand new Hollywood Police Headquarters. This state of the art facility, funded by the General Obligation Bond approved by voters in 2019, will serve as the heart of our city’s public safety for years to come.

The new 100,000 sq. ft. headquarters will feature modern infrastructure, a secure parking structure, and a cutting-edge radio tower to support both police and citywide communication needs. Located on the current Orangebrook Golf & Country Club driving range, this space is designed to meet the growing needs of our incredible police department.

We were proud to stand alongside local civic associations and the Hollywood chamber of commerce in support of this vital project. Thank you to everyone involved in making this vision a reality. We look forward to seeing the continued positive impact this will have on Hollywood’s safety and security. It takes a Village!

MSP provides nutritious grocery items to children and families at low income schools in South Florida. They dedicate their work to creating a future without hunger, where all families have access to adequate amounts of nutritious, culturally appropriate grocery items to learn, grow, and thrive.

Tonight, we are live at the unveiling of The Miss Betty, honoring the incredible legacy of Betty Ewens Quadracci. This beautiful tribute, generously donated by the Quadracci family, is a true celebration of community and support.

I’m here on behalf of Representative Cassel, and we’re thrilled to be part of this milestone moment. The evening has been filled with excitement, from the video presentation to recognizing the talented winners of the art competition. We’re also excited to announce that three art pieces will now be proudly displayed in Representative Cassel’s office!

It was an incredible evening of reconnecting, reminiscing, and making new memories with old friends and welcoming the new members who will be starting this year. Whether catching up with classmates, mingling with alumni from other years, or meeting the new faces of Leadership Hollywood, we celebrated the strong bonds we’ve built and the exciting journey ahead.

Back in 2016, I remember you at The Little Sugars, which you used as your office, laptop in hand, working tirelessly on your many dreams. Today at the Port Everglades Association luncheon, I had the privilege of representing Representative Hillary Cassel and welcoming one more time Broward County Port Director Joe Morris.

We heard insightful presentations from Dr. Natacha Yacinthe, Port Everglades Seaport Planning Manager, and Philip Hadfield, VP of the America’s Sports and Marine Group at AECOM Technical Services. Their comprehensive report on the latest market study and roadmap for our seaport’s future highlighted ways we can all contribute to this essential project.

Great to see Hollywood Mayor and the Commissioners of Hollywood and Dania present.
