🎸 We’re turning up the volume for 2027! 🎸

The JaCo Fine Arts Program is thrilled to officially announce our 2027 musical production…

🔥 Rock of Ages: Youth Edition! 🔥

Get ready for big hair, epic guitar riffs, hilarious characters, and some of the most iconic rock anthems of all time as we take audiences back to the legendary 1980s Sunset Strip! 🤘🎶

This high-energy production will give our students opportunities both onstage and behind the scenes as they bring this rock concert-style musical to life. From powerhouse vocals and choreography to lighting, sound, set design, and costumes, this show is going to be an unforgettable experience for our students and community alike.

We cannot wait to begin this journey with our talented young performers and technicians. So start warming up those vocals, practicing those air guitar solos, and preparing to ROCK with us in 2027!

Auditions will be in December of 2026. More details will be posted at the start of the 2026-2027 school year!🎤⚡🎸

While all eyes have been on our production of Annie Jr., we also wanted to take a moment to celebrate the amazing work happening during our 7th grade enrichment classes this semester! 🎨✨

These students took on the challenge of recreating Edvard Munch’s famous painting, The Scream, using the grid drawing technique. Each student was given one section of the image and had just one hour to recreate it using pencils, erasers, oil pastels, and blending stubs.

What makes this even more impressive is that students were not allowed to compare their drawings with one another during the process. By carefully following the grid technique, they independently matched colors, shapes, and details with incredible accuracy. Once every piece was assembled together, the final image was revealed!

We are so proud of the creativity, focus, and teamwork our enrichment students continue to show. Even during one of our busiest performance seasons, incredible artistic learning and growth is still happening every single week across the JaCo Fine Arts Program!

🎭 What an incredible experience! 🎭

We want to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out and supported our production of Annie Jr. ❤️ We had such a wonderful time performing for the students of Jackson County and sharing the magic of theatre with our community.

Our cast and crew worked incredibly hard, and seeing the excitement and joy from the audiences made it all worth it! 🌟
