Humbled and a little nostalgic on the eve of the 35th year of Starr & Co. Performing Arts! Renting a space at the YMCA the same day as my high school graduation! I had been teaching since the age of 13, so it was a natural progression for an 18 year old to open a business while starting college right?!? LOL
Thankful for ALL the dancers, families, and those in supporting roles in my life because of Dance. Each of them impacting my journey in a unique way. From Lancaster, OH to Cleveland, OH to Weston (Miami) FL, to Holly Springs / Fuquay-Varina, NC I left a little piece of my heart on each studio location. Thankful for the peaks and valleys that come with making your passion into a paycheck. Excited to have Jordyn Davis in a leadership role as an 18 year old herself as she starts her freshman year of college.

Just wrapped 4 amazing Summer Showcase performances! So proud of our performers and thankful for the incredible village of teachers, parents, FVAC Staff, tech, and volunteers that share their time & talents so each student will have their time to SHINE!!

NOW we are gearing up for my 35th year of Starr & Co. Performing Arts and 40th year of teaching!?!? What? Exciting NEW things on the horizon too!! The NEW YEAR kicks off with Open House, Bitty & Beau's Beach Day, Fall Classes, and Nutcracker Auditions!! Plus this is a Disney / Universal year, so you don't want to miss a minute!

The SADDEST place for a beloved dance costume is collecting dust in the closet! 🙁 Give your sparkles NEW LIFE and make a DREAM COME TRUE for another performer! My Daughter Jordyn Davis is a SENIOR at Fuquay-Varina High School and has made it her mission since 2014 to collect and distribute costumes & dance gear to students in need across the GLOBE! She is a Traveling Tutus, now Dance Fairy Ambassador. Some things stay local and others are sent to Africa, Haiti, Women's Shelters, Refugee Dance Programs and Natural Disaster Recovery Areas. What a BEAUTIFUL GIFT to share the LOVE & HEALING POWER of DANCE! We accept Dance Costumes, Leotards, Tights, Shoes, Bags, Garment Bags, Accessories, and dance gear of ANY KIND!
