We're proud to welcome the Rise Above Traveling Exhibit to the 2026 Branson Wings of Pride Air Show. With Father's Day just a few days away, we're celebrating the fathers who inspired a love of aviation in the next generation.

"My dad is a pilot. He’s flown in the airlines, corporate jet charter, agricultural aviation, and airshows. To me, he’s always been more than that—he’s my idol, my hero, and my mentor. Growing up watching him, I learned what dedication, discipline, and passion really look like. He’s been the steady influence behind my journey, always encouraging me to chase this path and backing me every step of the way. Everything I do in the air today is built on the foundation he gave me."

As Father's Day approaches, we're honored to share a message from performer Tom Larkin about the man who helped inspire his love of aviation.

"Just like airshows, this photo of my dad, my kids, and myself in front of my first airplane shows how aviation is one of the last true family activities.

My father was my biggest fan, and he was with me at my first airshow and several others. I used to send him videos from all of my shows so he could literally fly with me during my routines.

A huge influence in why I got into aviation, I miss him at every show... and especially on Father's Day.

Emma McDonald is a trailblazing Australian stunt pilot, aerobatic competitor, and AIR RACE X racer who has become one of Australia's leading female aerobatic display pilots.

Her path to the cockpit is anything but ordinary. Before aviation, Emma worked as a heavy-duty diesel mechanic and competed in gymnastics. The strength, focus, and determination she developed along the way now help her handle the incredible forces of aerobatic flight—pulling up to 10 Gs while performing breathtaking maneuvers in her Edge 540.

In 2024, Emma made history as the first female pilot to compete in the global AIR RACE X Championship, finishing an impressive 5th overall in just her second season of competition.
