Anyone who knows anything about theatre also knows that there's a lot more to it than actors on a stage. There's a whole other "show" going on behind the scenes. Those actors couldn't do what they do without the support of an entire army of folks! From day one of TrueJEM (2012), there has been a couple who have volunteered in numerous ways. Denise and Marty "Moose" Kirkland don't know the meaning of the word, "No." Always, always willing to do whatever was needed - from painting to cutting boards to hauling things in their truck and more. Only six weeks ago, Moose was busy hauling stuff for us! And then, yesterday morning, Moose lost his battle with cancer. We are devastated. Our hearts go out to Denise, his children Stephanie, Samantha, Billy and their families. We will all miss our cheery, helpful and kind redhead. Fly high Moose!

We are sorry to learn of the loss of Bruce Ramaker. Bruce was a dear friend of TrueJEM and ran sound for many of our productions over the past 13 years. He had a true servant's heart and will be greatly missed. Our love and prayers go out to his surviving son, Chris. And we are comforted knowing he is rejoicing in heaven with his son Andrew who awaited him there.

Miss Jo-Ellen will be directing the show, Schoolhouse Rock Live, Jr. for the Avalon School of the Arts Broadway Bound Summer Theatre Camp. Camp meets June 17-28. Auditions for roles will be held at Avalon March 28, 29 & 30. Here is a link for signing up.

TrueJEM is shifting down a bit. We're still around, but starting to make some changes. This summer, "Miss Jo-Ellen" will be directing BROADWAY BOUND THEATRE CAMPS for Avalon School of the Arts. Show titles are still in process - stay tuned! Camp dates are:
Ages 10-18 will be June 11-22.
Ages 6-11 will be July 15-21.
