In light of yesterday’s sad news of Dolly’s passing, we maintain a small connection to her park, Dollywood.

When we installed our 1940 Eli Bridge #5 Ferris wheel in 2014, (which previously operated in a park in Melrose Park, IL called Kiddieland,) it was outfitted with the original cable drive.

Eli Bridge let us know that Dollywood was selling their hydraulic drive from a larger wheel they retired. We purchased it from them and have maintained a relationship with them to this day.

As you could expect, a top notch organization, through and through. We’re sure Dolly wouldn’t have allowed it to be any other way.

Our thoughts are with her team in Sevierville as they navigate this loss. (Edit: Dollywood is in Pigeon Forge)
