Our Studio Story

Created in October 2015, in accordance with the Jack H. Miller Center for Musical Arts, the Hope College Recording Studio is run by Professor Drew Elliot, who received his M.F.A. in recording arts and technologies at Middle Tennessee State University. Elliot has been accompanied in his recording work by numerous students achieving recording arts composite majors, other music majors interested in learning recording techniques, and students pursuing internships or independent studies alongside his direction. Concert recordings encompass performances in the main concert hall, the John and Dede Howard recital hall, and Dimnent Memorial Chapel. It takes a talented, hardworking team of music enthusiasts to accomplish what our studio does everyday, and we constantly strive to present the best audio experiences possible for our Hope students and faculty.
