Park Coffee House

Park Coffee House Park Coffee House initially operated independently, eventually coming under the organizational umbrella of Foothills Rural Community Ministry.

The Park Coffee House
For over 30 years, Park Coffee House has presented the best local and regional musicians, originating from a performance in a coffee house setting by John Preston, Ken Allen, and Liz Vannicola. After that first show of their acoustic folk music at the Holland Patent Presbyterian Church, these three decided to invite other musicians to play at the venue that became Park Coffee

House. This enduring relationship benefits both entities, as FRCM receives financial support from Park Coffee House, the coffee house draws from FRCM’s volunteer pool, and both share a central mission of community building. Years later, as for that very first performance, card tables are set up, candles are lit, coffee is brewed, and music lovers gather to be entertained. John Preston, who dedicated over 30 years of service as Park Coffee House director, has expressed that “as we sing along, we harmonize with one another. Through the coffee house the community is bound together by the spirit of authentic folk music.”
