Our Story

Grey House- The Beginning

April 1861- Standing under the moss draped oaks, they agreed, she would protect his loved ones and his land, he would reward her with great wealth upon his return. As they turned to go their separate ways, she noticed the clouds covering the moon, an omen. This will not end well, she thought.

April 1865- The civil war was finally over, and confederate, Dr. Joseph Grey made his way to his home just west of Metairie Louisiana. Walking through the small village towards his home, he noticed the strange looks and whispers, but he walked on, anxious to see his family and continue his work.

As he walked onto his family’s land, he saw the once fertile fields scorched and empty, his home burnt to the ground. Sorting through the rubble he glimpsed a cloaked figure, it was Isabelle, the swamp witch.
