Christopher Nolan's TENET is finally releasing after multiple delays this summer. Early Access screening Monday, August 31st, tickets will go on sale at our website (www.showboathouston.com) tomorrow :) Glad to finally begin to see a return of new movies with Unhinged, The New Mutants, Bill and Ted 3, and Tenet.

Saturday night we were informed by the Fire Marshall that there was a violation of the outdoor gathering restrictions created by Governor Abbott in GA-28 and further restricted by County Judge Hidalgo. While we disagreed with the Fire Marshall's interpretation of the order, we complied with their instructions to suspend operations until we could gain approval from the County Judge.

We were able to have a conversation Monday and Tuesday with officials from the county that ultimately agreed with our interpretation of the order and presented a pathway to reopening. There were still concerns about safety issues, but we worked through them and will be allowed to reopen. The county has asked us to modify some of the restrictions we have and return to some used during our initial reopening to help ensure that we are not part of any spread of Covid.

The main points to keep in mind if you come out for a movie:

1. Masks will be required when outside of your vehicle.

2. Vehicles must be 6+ feet apart from each other. Our lot attendants will have a pole to determine if you are at least the 6 feet apart.

3. Guests will be allowed to sit outside of their vehicle, but you must stay within the width of your vehicle to allow a full 6+ feet of distance between you and any neighboring vehicle.

4. When seated outside of your vehicle, you must stay 6+ feet from neighboring vehicles even if you are meeting friends and parking next to each other.

5. The playground equipment will be closed for the duration of the governor's order regarding outdoor gatherings.

These matters will be strictly enforced as we have been informed that any violations that persist will result in our operation being shut down. Please do not come if you can't comply with the restrictions. We can all agree to disagree about whether they should or shouldn't exist, but they must be followed if you do choose to attend or else we simply will not be allowed to be open.
