Acorda is an urban, upcycling, contemporary, slow fashion and sustainable fashion design brand which seeks for cultural rescue through goods made with leftover fabric. Launched by partners Luana Maria and Michelle Andrade, the brand is the highlight of Rio de Janeiro’s street style. The duo supports the local and worldwide culture through exclusive products, respecting workmanship, moving the opposite direction of fast fashion.

Badu Corp. is the brand’s partner in NYC, responsible for the relationships and involvement of the collection with representatives in the city, in order to sell its products.

While attending film school the artist discovered her love for photography, completing the best courses in Rio de Janeiro, to become specialized in the subject. Lara moved to New York to invest in the area and work with what she loves. The photographer then made a number of diverse photoshoots, in addition to events, weddings, bo***ir, street style, corporate events and others.

In partnering with Badu Corp., the photographer signed her first exhibition in Connecticut, which launches on June 1st, showing landscape pictures. There will be an estimate of 15 exposed pieces, with settings such as the Brooklyn Bridge, Hudson River, Times Square and Lover's Leap Bridge.
Today, Badu Corp. welcomes yet another partner, Lara Menezes Photography.
