SeelevelStudios is Eve Sussman, Simon Lee and Lee Boroson. We have built and manage 30 artist work-only studios. They are in a factory building on a quiet mostly residential block, on the second fourth floors with great light, huge windows, high ceiling (12'), freight elevator, & 24/7 access. These are private studio spaces, ranging from 232-1050 square feet and most are easily sharable. All are occupied by artists and small creative and retail businesses. Prior to these current studio spaces we developed and managed a similar group of studio spaces in Williamsburg on North 12th Street and the East River. Our priorities are to offer long term, reasonably priced spaces to artists and small businesses and to build a long term interdependent community of creative services. We are all artists and we have used our understanding of the needs of small creative businesses to develop a working model for this community that is not supported by the commercial real estate market.
