A Clarkston man is celebrating America's 250th birthday in a way that's hard to miss—by painting a massive American flag across his front lawn. 🇺🇸

T.J. Breil, better known online as "The Lawn Dad," spent about 12 hours creating the 80-by-30-foot flag on his nearly 2.5-acre property ahead of the Fourth of July. Working through temperatures that felt as high as 105 degrees, he stayed hydrated with about two gallons of water and took several safety breaks to complete the patriotic display.

Breil says he creates a special lawn project every Independence Day, but this year's 250th anniversary called for something even bigger. Neighbors gathered to watch the artwork come together, calling the finished result impressive and a meaningful symbol of patriotism for the community.

Known for sharing creative lawn projects on social media, Breil said the support from his community keeps him inspired. For him, the giant flag is a celebration of America's milestone birthday and the freedoms he believes make the country special.
