Why Animal Education Matters to Us
A child doesn't have to grow up on a farm to learn to respect animals.
That's one of the biggest reasons EverAfter Experiences exists.
We want children β and adults! β to have opportunities to get close enough to animals to actually understand them.
What does a rabbit eat?
Why can't you feed every animal the same thing?
How do you safely approach a horse?
Why does a camel have those giant padded feet?
What does it actually cost and take to care for livestock every single day?
Why shouldn't you buy an animal simply because it's cute?
Those conversations matter.
When people understand animals, they're more likely to respect them.
When children learn that animals have boundaries, needs, personalities and individual ways of communicating, they're learning more than animal facts.
They're learning responsibility, patience, empathy and respect for another living thing.
If one child leaves EverAfter knowing something about an animal that they didn't know when they arrived, we've accomplished something. β€οΈ
