Cast enjoying set construction for RSMT's 60th Anniversary Summer Show.
RSMT celebrates 60 years and 61 summers! Since Reinhart Auditorium is undergoing upgrades this summer, this year's performances of "Cotton Patch Gospel" will take place at our Center Stage Studio Theatre in Hobart. "Cotton Patch" features the last music written by Harry Chapin, known for songs like "Cats in the Cradle," "TAXI," "30,000 Pounds of Bananas," and "Tangled Up Puppet." It's a foot-tapping, fun-for-everyone musical, reminiscent of "Godspell" and "Joseph." This rarely performed musical is sure to captivate you.

Okay Tuesday June 25th at 6:30 227 Center Street Hobart. Auditions for this years RSMT show, to be performed at our Studio location. This Summer we were choosing between 2 then 4 shows we got it down to 2 . But one we don’t have rights for yet so I’m announcing Harry Chapin’s Cotton Patch Gospel as the Summer production. This show can be as small as 5 members or as many as 20 with a wide range of ages. It is an incredibly fun show and one that is seldom, if ever, done. However I am bringing music and scripts for the other show just in case.

I know it's a couple days late, but because we are involved in with Scrooge, George Bailey, and three Christmas concerts, and numurus Vocalteen engagments in December, we celebrate Christmas all week. So here is the video presentation of Merry Christmas George Bailey.

First of my Christmas Video Posts:
A REEL MERRY CHRISTMAS
A Christmas film made for a contest back in 2006. It was shot in 48 hours, and edited in less than 4 weeks. So yea there are a lot of technical issues, but the cast and crew had a blast and it's a fun 40 min Christmas short about working in a movie theatre at Christmas time. Melinda Reinhart and Steve Elser were nominated for supporting and featured actor awards. In one contest it finished in the top 300 out of over 27,000 entries. Melinda has still not forgiven me for shooting this on December 22 and 23rd. The one neat thing is it was shot in the old Star Plaza Theatre, thanks to Charlie Blum for allowing us to shoot there and Stevie Kokos for being there the entire time and helping with the filming.

On this day in 1996, The Hunchback of Notre Dame was released in theaters. So glad this music that means so much to me continues to resonate with audiences!
