We had a great time helping out the Hobart Bearcat Boosters Friday night at the Bearcat Blast scrimmage! 🏈
🎭 The Shortgrass Playhouse and Board members like to give back anyway we can to the community that helps support us!

Pictured are the 1st shift workers but we had board members for the 2nd shift just no picture 🤷‍♀️ Let’s just say we were all tired afterwards too! 😆

Shortgrass Playhouse is gearing up for our fall production of “HAVE A NICE DOOMSDAY!” and we’re looking for cast members to join the fun!

🎬 Auditions:
August 24 & 25 @ 6:00 p.m.

📍 Please enter through the west side door marked Shortgrass Playhouse (aka the Charlie Door).

✔️ Must be 15 years or older
✔️ Be prepared for a cold read from the script
✔️ Bring a list of any rehearsal date conflicts

Then mark your calendars because performances are:

🎉HAPPY 125TH BIRTHDAY, HOBART, OKLAHOMA! 🎉

125 years of history, memories, families, businesses, celebrations, and the people who have made Hobart the special community it is today! ❤️💙

And speaking of Hobart history… did you know the Shortgrass Playhouse helped celebrate Hobart’s 100th Birthday back in 2001 with a very special production of:

🎭 HOBART’S 100TH HOEDOWN! 🎭
Written & directed by our own Southwest OK resident Julie Barnett, this special production brought Hobart’s history and heritage to life on stage as the community celebrated a major milestone.

Now, 25 years later, Hobart is celebrating 125 YEARS! 🎂🎈

From the stories of yesterday to the memories being made today, Shortgrass Playhouse is proud to be a small part of Hobart’s history and to help keep those stories alive. ❤️

Taken from a local scrapbooker’s album she put together 25 years ago, we thought we would share this from the production! 🎭
Here are a few of the cast members we can remember but it has been so long and that scrapbooker didn’t have the program with it like she should have. 🤦‍♀️
We even had Ryan Fox from America’s Country Countdown on our stage!!!
