"Weekend Sessions" is an exciting new music event featuring jazz, R&B, Neo-Soul, Blues, and Easy Listening music for our Liberty County audience and beyond given the out of town guest that attend! Weekend Sessions is a subsidiary of The Satin Sax company & Bernard Rose Music and is intended to provide a forum for local, regional, and national artist to demonstrate their talent as instrumentalist a

nd vocallist in the genre of jazz, an American music art form! Hinesville is a growing community in southeast Georgia and has begun to flourish in the arts through efforts of the City of Hinesville and entities such as the Hinesville Arts Counsel, the Chamber of Commerce, and the Hinesville Downtown Development Authority encouraging the development of arts and entertainment. During the event, we endeavor to have a non-profit and or community service organization to have a vendor space free of charge and to share information concerning the nature and benefit of the service they provide to the community and or beyond. It also adds to the vibrancy and cosmopolitan feel of the developing cultural scene in Liberty County. Though primarily designed for adults, Weekend Sessions is billed as family friendly and will hopefully encourage some community youth and some adults to explore playing an instrument and or develop as vocalist whether for fun or as a career. Weekend Sessions is an exciting premiere jazz musical event that we believe will be of a great benefit to the city of Flemington and Hinesville’s cultural development and add flavor and class to Liberty Co. for years to come!

Some pics of my mom came up on my FB feed.

She was a classy lady. She loved being a Zeta and was well love by her soror's from all around the country and was likely one of the oldest Zeta's in the country at the time she went to be with Jesus.

She made history being the first black woman accepted into the University of SC for advanced degree studies.

Though there were attempts to exclude her once they found out who she was, she persisted and was able break through that racial barrier matter.

She was an educator and community leader who fought for family, friends, and her community when and wherever she needed to.

Appreciate all you did for us Mom, and we carry your dedication and spirit forward to hopefully impact the world in a positive way.
