Each year, our staff comes together to select one dancer to receive the Model Student Scholarship, which includes free tuition for the upcoming dance season.

This award is not based solely on talent or ability. It is given to a student who consistently demonstrates the qualities that help make our studio community strong: character, sportsmanship, work ethic, dedication, leadership, kindness, and respect for others.

The recipient is chosen by our entire staff and represents the values we hope every dancer carries with them both inside and outside the studio.

🏆 Congratulations to our 2026 Carroll County Dance Center Model Student Scholarship recipient, Madalyn Reinhard!

“My name is Madalyn Reinhard and I’m so happy to say I have been chosen as the CCDC 2026-2027 model student! I am 16 and will be a senior at Floyd County High School this upcoming fall.
I come from a very close family and have an older brother who is currently a senior at VT.

Outside of the studio, I enjoy reading, hanging out with my friends, and doing anything that has to do with art.

My dance journey began when I was 3 years old at Back Porch Studios in Floyd VA. I then transferred to Carroll County Dance Center at the beginning of third grade when I was 7 and have been here ever since!

Dance has taught me things that I would’ve never learned without it. Dance taught me how to work through challenges even if they seem impossible.
Going to a studio almost an hour away from my home was extremely nerve racking at first, and could’ve stayed that way, but everyone, like my friends and teachers, made it where I could fit in even without going to school with the other girls.

I’m so exited to see where my last year of dance with CCDC takes me. Thank you so much to the staff at Carroll County Dance Center for this incredible start to my senior year!”

SUMMER CAMP STARTS MONDAY — LAST-MINUTE SPOTS REMAINING

Give your child a week filled with movement, creativity, imagination, and fun at our Magical Moves Dance

Camp for ages 18 months–8 years.

Campers will enjoy dancing, games, activities, music, and new friendships in a positive, encouraging environment designed to keep them active and engaged all week long!!

No previous dance experience is required 💫

Parents are invited to attend a special mini-showcase on Friday to celebrate everything their child has learned throughout the week.

If summer plans are still coming together, this is a wonderful opportunity to add a memorable experience to your child’s break.

Camp begins Monday and remaining spots are limited.

Our KMG Summer Dance Camps are designed for kids who love to move, imagine, and explore. It’s a great way for children to stay active, meet new friends, and try dance in a low-pressure, fun environment.

Plus… it gives parents a little breathing room during the day too 😉

Our Magical Moves Dance Camp starts MONDAY and runs through Friday, concluding with a mini-showcase for all parents to attend!! (Ages 18 months–8 y/o)

29 years of Carroll County Dance Center. What a beautiful way to celebrate.

Our 29th Annual Showcase weekend was filled with so many special moments from the first step on stage to the final bow. We are incredibly proud of every dancer who was part of it.

A huge shoutout to our youngest dancers who stepped onto that stage for the very first time. That is such a big moment, and they did it with courage, excitement, and so many bright smiles. We are so proud of them for accomplishing something so huge.

To our dancers who have been with us for years and continue showing up season after season—thank you. Watching your dedication, growth, and progress over time is one of the greatest joys of what we do. Your hard work never goes unnoticed, and it is an honor to be part of your journey.

A very special congratulations to our 10 graduating seniors. Thank you for the years you have poured into this studio. Thank you for the memories, the leadership, the laughter, and the example you have set for the dancers coming behind you. We are so proud of each of you and wish you the absolute best in all that comes next.

To every parent and guardian—thank you. Thank you for the carpools, the costume changes, the rehearsals, the long evenings, the encouragement, and the unwavering support from the very start of the season all the way to that final bow. We could not do this without you, and we are so grateful for the trust you place in us.

A very special congratulations to our 2025 Model Student, Madalyn Reinhard.
This award is given to a student who exemplifies outstanding character, a positive attitude, and dedication both inside and outside of the studio. Madalyn embodies all of those things so beautifully, and we are thrilled to celebrate her with a year of free tuition for any and all classes she would like to take. Congratulations, Madalyn—we are so proud of you.

Congratulations to every dancer, every family, every teacher, and everyone who helped make this showcase so memorable.

Last night’s Solo Showcase was such a fun and special way to kick off showcase weekend!

We’re so proud of every dancer who took the stage in a solo, duet, or trio. These pieces take extra rehearsal time, extra instruction, and a lot of dedication!

Watching that unfold onstage is always something special, and we loved celebrating every one of them last night 💫

We kick things off tonight and continue Wednesday as we get ready to celebrate an incredible 29th season on stage.

As we wrap up our 29th season at Carroll County Dance Center, we’re feeling so proud of all our dancers have poured into this year.

From the first class in August to these final rehearsals, they’ve shown up with heart, commitment, and so much growth. We’re excited to celebrate everything they’ve worked for and bring this season to the stage.

🎓 Senior Spotlight: Abigale Wright 🎓

As we countdown to our 29th Annual Showcase, help us celebrate one of our amazing graduating seniors, Abigale Wright! 🌟

Abigale has been a passionate and vibrant member of our studio, and it’s been an honor to watch her grow into such a strong and inspiring young woman.

Here's a little about Abigale's next chapter:

"I plan on attending liberty university and majoring in either zoology or biology and then attending vet school after that.

Dance has been such an important part of my life. The studio has become a second home to me. Dancing has taught me discipline, given me confidence, and helped me learn perseverance in difficult times.

I am incredibly grateful for my instructors who have always supported me and helped me grow as a dancer and as an individual. I want to thank my parents for everything they’ve done for me. From driving me to and paying for my classes; to always showing up and supporting me.

I would not be where I am, or the person I am today, if it wasn’t for dance."

Tonight was one of those reminders that dance studios hold entire childhoods inside their walls.

We watched seniors who once walked into class as little kids stand in front of us as confident young adults!

These studios become part of how dancers are raised. Generations grow up here learning discipline, friendship, resilience, creativity, and who they are becoming both on and off the dance floor.

To our seniors and your families, thank you for allowing Carroll County Dance Center to be part of your story.
