ON DEPRESSION AND COMMITTING SU***DE
There are two causes of these eventualities: The Oppressors and The Oppressed.
When you don't handle your confidence with emotional intelligence, even the things most deserving by you can affect other people's mental health.
But don't we all brag, boast, and intimidate those around us when we just an inch of upper hand than them?
What am I talking about?
That's life, right?
To have and to brag.
To show that you are better than others.
To win win win all the time.
It doesn't matter how those who lose feel.
YOU FIRST!
You lack empathy, emotional intelligence, and you are out of tune to the nature of the Universe which is all inclusive, all nourishing, and all understanding.
The Oppressed on the other hand are those foolish stocks who refused to grasp the basic requirements of life.
Or let me say, those timid lots we have trained to think that they must always win, that the world revolves around them, that it is okay to have entitlement mentality.
You know what these do to a child's mentality?
It makes them have attention seeking syndrome.
They suffer from low or no self esteem.
They are overly sensitive to all matters.
And they grow up without a good mental health.
Easily depressed, easily sad, not motivated, always dragging, and never excited if they don't win.
All we see is a depressed person.
We do not know we raised a depressed personality.
All we see are suicidal people.
We do not blame ourselves for moulding them to quit untimely.
All we see is an overly dependent people.
We refused to accept the blame for not telling them the world is a harsh place and Nature has no favourite.
I've been bruised.
I've been duped.
I've lost jobs.
I've lost people.
I've lost all savings before.
I've been alone all my life.
I've never had a best friend.
I've never had a father.
I've never fit in to the crowd and world system.
I've been bullied.
I've suffered propaganda.
I've had crazy health issues before.
I've survived on well water and cassava flakes for years.
I've driven tricycle in this Lagos before to make money.
I've been homeless before.
I've worn 3 clothes for 4years before.
I've bought a rope to end it once before.
I've also had to remind myself each time that "if I give up, then I messed up"
And each time I am tempted to blame the system, the people, my family, I am also quick to tell myself this truth that "I AM RESPONSIBLE FOR MY OWN HAPPINESS - NO ONE ELSE".
So, while I would plead that you do not contribute to other's sadness, I'll also tell you that the only person who can help a depressed person is the depressed person.
You cannot save a mind that is made up to die.
