Introducing Finale. Hunter's sister Omega suggested that name, saying he looked like the grand finale at a fireworks display. So Finale it is! Hunter is getting to know his new buddy today. And as the weather cools off, I hope to be able to do a lot more fun photos of all these horses I made over the summer.

Finale is a 1/6 scale Mr Z Thoroughbred I hand painted. I use cheap craft acrylics and brushes, once in a while a dab of pan pastels though not on this one. Hunter is a TBLeague M31 seamless figure I made (I have about a dozen versions of Hunter in various outfits.) He's a cowboy alternative universe version of Hunter from Star Wars The Bad Batch, an animated series I love. Tack made by the talented Amy Jones.

Hunter with the pretty new Gypsy Vanner that Omega named Galaxy. He's a snowflake silver dapple tobiano, and Omega thought his dapples looked like stars. I made him with a Mr Z Mongolian horse that I custom painted and rehaired, and added leg feathers to. Hunter and Omega are TBLeague seamless figures with 3D printed heads.

This was the first horse I had with my Native American version of Hunter. I ended up swapping out for an Appaloosa, but like this paint with him too. Earlier this spring I got a very hard to find Mr Z Mongolian horse and gave him a custom paint job. I like how he turned out. And then I have Echo on Pivot (named for Echo's ability to pivot), and Fives on his other horse, Cinco. Both are pictured with their dogs Havoc the malinois, and Crash the Australian Cattle Dog. I hand painted those too.

This was the newer horse I made for my Native American version of Hunter. The outfit and tack were mostly made by Amy Jones, I made a bit of it too. I love how this set came out. The horse is a JXK "American Paint" I custom painted. The last photo has Hunter looking like he is over it. It was SO hot out I was melting and I think he was too! I didn't notice his exasperated look until I put it on my computer to edit and it made me laugh.

I had wanted to paint a softer colored tobiano, and this is the result. I named him Sage (a softer sounding name and I like the double meaning of the lovely smelling western sagebrush, and that it means wise.) Hunter likes him too! I also included a photo with giant Smoke the Shire. Sage is a JXK "American Paint" model I customized.

Hunter didn't want Wrecker to have all the fun on a big draft horse, so he got this big Shire. He named him Smoke, saying "where there's smoke, there's Shire." Yes, Hunter is capable of a dad joke! (And I got this horse and did the customizing during that period of wildfire smoke making air quality so bad here in Michigan.)
