Hillsdale County Horse Leaders Page Promote humane treatment and attitude toward all animals. Appreciate horseback riding as a healthy form of leisure activity.

The Hillsdale County 4-H Horse Program will help children accomplish the following:

Experience the pride and responsibility of owning and/or caring for a horse or pony. Develop knowledge and proficiency in all aspects of the appropriate care of their horse or pony including but not limited to; feeding, housing, health care, grooming, training, fitting, showing and breeding. Develop leadership, in

itiative, self-confidence, sportsmanship, and respect for themselves and for others. Learn citizenship through working together in groups and supporting community horse project activities and events. Explore career opportunities in the equine field and develop and achieve career goals. Show rules and regulations:

Thank you to all who attended our second show of the summer series! Congrats to the high point winners today(pictured)! Thanks to all of our volunteers for running gates, setting patterns, dragging the arena, working in the booth, etc.! Lots of new faces today! Also, a big thank you to everyone who dropped off items for the show clothes exchange that will be open to Hillsdale Co 4-H horse kids at our July&August shows! 😊

Hillsdale Horse Leaders is taking donations for our show clothes closet this weekend at our show. Any sizes of show clothes are welcome!! Have an outfit in your closet that doesn’t fit? Bring it in and maybe you will be able to find an exchange! 😊
