Last Chance.... Saturday is the last day of Michael Brown's exceptional exhibit 'What Am I Doing?' featuring 48 works including his classic textured landscapes, new abstracts, lovely paintings on paper, and a body of expressive collages.

On view at the Thomas Stevens Gallery in downtown Hillsborough thru Saturday, Aug 22nd.

We're thrilled to announce Keith Knight as a last minute addition for tomorrow's Jul 4th festival at River Park! Have your portrait drawn by a nationally syndicated cartoonist, and the man behind the Hulu series, “Woke.” Keith’s work has been featured in the New Yorker, the Washington Post, Daily KOS, San Francisco Chronicle, Medium.com, Ebony, ESPN the Magazine, L.A. Weekly, MAD Magazine, and the Funny Times. Keith will be on site 12-4pm!

The Thomas Stevens Gallery will be fully open July 4th, 11am - 5pm. - including my Suite 42 studio upstairs, packed with art. Enjoy a break from the heat browsing two floors of art!

At the same time, happening in Hillsborough - Together, We Are America - including a juried art and craft fair, music, performances, food trucks, watermelon, etc., even a laser light show along with the Triangle Jazz Orchestra!

While you're in town looking for something to eat (in addition to the event food trucks) the following restaurants will be open in Hillsborough on the 4th:

Opening Today at the Thomas Stevens Gallery - one of our fav group exhibitions - Nuda Veritas (Naked Truth), 5th Annual Group Exhibit Celebrating the Art N**e.
Featuring 11 remarkable artists, plus a few selections from my personal art collection.
What else could be so expressive, so symbolic, so universal yet so personal, so provocative, so rich with artistic potential, as is the bare human body. A pillar of western art for 2000 years, the art n**e has evolved from being a subject of art to an art genre in its own right.
For collectors and art appreciators, here's an opportunity to see and acquire works from master North Carolina artists.

Our opening reception coincides with the Hillsborough Last Fridays Art Walk, 6-9 pm April 24th - with tons of art, music, and fun. Here at the gallery enjoy jazz selections from the Great American Songbook by the King Street Jazz Quartet.
