From bonding with the friends you’ve spent the season learning and growing alongside, to watching dancers of all ages and levels take the stage with confidence and joy — there’s something so special about the moments backstage!

What a day at the !

On April 25, Kaleidoscope dancers brought the energy to the stage and the streets. This day was full of joy, movement, and community! 🦋

The audience showed up for line dances — and our fearless leader Ms. Stephanie led the group in the Electric Slide like a pro! 🪩

Revolution Talent Competition Recap ✌️

Monarch dancers wrapped up the 2025-2026 competition season at Revolution in Greensboro! Competition weekends are exhausting, but so much fun! Plus, they are full of team bonding both on and off the stage. 🩵

Here are a few highlights from the weekend:

🏆”Shadows” - “Grace & Emotion” special award
🏆”Like Other Girls” - 8th overall
🏆”What a Feeling” - 10th overall

🏆Zora McClure, “Forget About the Boy” solo - scored a platinum in a very competitive group!
🏆Allie Henshall, “Never Felt So Alone” solo - “Heart & Soul” special award
🏆Eleanor Dashti, “This Wish” solo - “So Inspiring” special award
🏆Gaillen Bibb - awarded a scholarship to the Wild Dance Intensive

🦋Kaleidoscope Community Performance: Brookshire Nursing Home 🦋

On April 11, our dancers shared jazz, hip hop, contemporary, ballet, and musical theatre pieces for the wonderful residents at Brookshire. From warm-ups to the final bow, each dancer brought so much energy and joy to every moment!

We ended the program with a sweet message from one of our seniors – the perfect reminder of why we do what we do! 💖

Moments like these remind us that dance is about connection just as much as performance. 🦋

Our dancers spent another amazing weekend with talented photographer Yevgeny Shlapko! 📸

Monarch dancers had the opportunity to take individual recital portraits in costume, and we can’t wait to see how they turn out.

These portraits are such a special way to capture each dancer’s growth over the years. It’s always extra meaningful for our seniors to look back on their dance photos from earlier years and see just how far they’ve come!

It’s graduation season at Monarch Movement Co., and today we’re celebrating Belle Yagnow! 🎓

Belle has been such an integral part of Kaleidoscope — a true leader and an incredible role model for our younger dancers. Her dedication, energy, and heart have made a lasting impact on our community.

🦋A sweet message from Belle:
Monarch has taught me so many valuable skills that I will carry with me for the rest of my life. The one skill I know for sure I will take with me into college is the ability to work as part of a team. Monarch has given me countless opportunities to collaborate with my peers and connect with my community, and for that, I am incredibly grateful. This skill has not only strengthened my ability to work with others but also boosted my confidence. I now feel more comfortable contributing to group conversations and actively participating, rather than staying in the background. Teamwork is such an important skill, and exploring it in an open and welcoming environment has been an amazing experience.

Next year, I am most excited to find myself in a new environment. I’ve been dreaming of going to college for as long as I can remember, and I feel so grateful to have this opportunity. I’m especially excited to attend such an amazing university and study architecture, which I am so passionate about. I look forward to taking this journey one step at a time and embracing all the new experiences that come with this next chapter of my life.

My favorite and most memorable group dance was “Lonely, Lonely.” I feel so lucky to have worked with such an incredible group of girls. The connection, teamwork, and trust we shared are truly special, something beautiful to be part of and even to witness. I am going to miss all of them so much, and I couldn’t have asked for a better way to end my journey at Monarch than being surrounded by the people who mean so much to me.
