To the parents of the teens turning this block into a late night hangout...
I finally got settled in for the night and not long after, I'm jolted awake by voices, car doors, and people just standing around outside like it's the middle of the afternoon. I check outside and there's a group posted up in the street and around a driveway, just talking, pacing around, completely unbothered.
No attempt to keep it down. Just laughing and carrying on while everyone else is trying to sleep a few feet away. It's the confidence that gets me, like it doesn't even cross their mind that people have work, alarms, or families inside these houses.
Maybe to them it's harmless, but for the rest of us it turns into noise right outside our windows in the middle of the night.
If this keeps happening, I'm not going to keep getting woken up and brushing it off. I'll just let someone else deal with it, because this street isn't meant to be a midnight meetup spot.
