Liam Ramos is a child. And what is being done to him, and to so many others, will be felt for a hundred years.
When a child is taken from their caregivers, the harm does not end when the child is released or reunited. It wires itself into the body. It reshapes how safety, trust, love, and belonging are experienced. These are the kinds of injuries that echo across decades, into parenting, relationships, community, health, and identity. This is how generational trauma is made.
The Trump administrationâs and ICEâs fascist policies do not just harm families in one moment, they deliberately create trauma that is felt in the whole system.
There is nothing patriotic about destroying families, terrorizing children, abducting our neighbors, and calling cruelty ânational securityâ. This is how you hollow out a nation from the inside.
Immigrants are our neighbors. Our siblings. Our children. Families belong together.
This work is grief, rage, and action, because silence is also an attachment wound.
Shout out to the protestors who are staying loud.
In solidarity.
