A Girl Scout Solar Oven Challenge is a fun STEM activity that teaches girls about renewable energy, engineering, and outdoor cooking by designing and building an oven that uses only the sun's energy. Solar ovens work by reflecting sunlight into an insulated container, where the light is absorbed and converted into heat.

Thank you so much to our 2026 Junior Fair Livestock Auction Buyers for their support of our 4-H Members. The Livestock Auction is the culminating event of the Franklin County Fair, where 4-H members sell the market animals they have spent months raising, feeding, and caring for. The auction rewards exhibitors for their hard work while teaching valuable lessons in agriculture, business, record keeping, responsibility, and communication.

Girl Scout Flower Badge Day focused on learning flower science, how flowers help people, flower crafts, and the meanings of flowers.

Showman of Showmen Contest is one of the highest honors at many county fairs. The contest identifies the exhibitor with the strongest overall livestock showmanship skills—not just the ability to show one species. Congratulations to all of our participants
