🚨 IMPORTANT ECYRA RODEO UPDATE – CANCELLATION 🚨
After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to cancel this weekend’s ECYRA rodeo due to weather concerns and the safety of our contestants, families, volunteers, and livestock.
We understand that there are multiple weather forecasts predicting different outcomes. However, the uncertainty surrounding potential high wind gusts and thunderstorms creates safety concerns that we cannot ignore. The safety of our contestants will always be our top priority. While we know this decision may be disappointing, we would rather take precautions than put anyone at unnecessary risk.
Regarding the makeup rodeo:
We understand that our rulebook states makeup rodeos are to be held on the fourth weekend of the month. Unfortunately, we do not have an arena available that weekend.
At this time, we are tentatively planning to reschedule for November 7–8 at the Boys Ranch. A final decision regarding the makeup dates and location will be announced by Saturday evening.
We ask for your patience and understanding as we work through these circumstances. Please know that these decisions are not made lightly, and we are doing our best to make the safest and most reasonable decision for everyone involved.
Thank you for your continued support, flexibility, and understanding. We appreciate our ECYRA families and look forward to seeing everyone back in the arena soon!
All Halloween festivities will still take place!
