LIVE from the legendary Met Opera stage in NYC to the Martin Lipscomb Theatre!

Experience the Met premiere of Frida y Diego, the stunning new opera by composer Gabriela Lena Frank. Inspired by the lives and art of Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera, this magical-realist love story follows Frida’s return from the underworld on the Day of the Dead for one final reunion with Diego. Featuring a richly colorful score, breathtaking visuals inspired by their artwork, and performances by Isabel Leonard and Carlos Álvarez, this powerful new production is conducted by Yannick Nézet-Séguin and directed by Deborah Colker.

A big thank you to Balsam Range for a stellar performance yesterday and for kicking off PAC’s 2026 Concert Season in unforgettable fashion! There’s nothing better than spending a Sunday afternoon in the mountains of Western North Carolina enjoying incredible bluegrass music.
