Anyone care to see what progress as a graphite portrait artist looks like?

These two pictures are of the same guy. I drew him for my husband the first time back in 2021. The second one I just finished today, 3.5 years difference. Seeing my own evolution is a trip and feel like secondhand embarrassment for my past self🤣

FINALLY, something else is done!🖤

I wish I could do this full time and pump out content like other artists. I'm considering doing mini pictures once in a while while big commissions are still happening in the background.

What do you think?

Also, if anyone knows how to take a BETTER picture of my work, please help me lol. The pictures never do the work justice, you can't see all the details and like in this one, the horse is much lighter than it is in person. HALP.

Ahhh! I've been so absent!
Life has been really busy here and some odd and random health issues have added to my absence.

BUT hubby got me new pencils today, and I'm ready to start rocking and rolling again!

Welp, sharing is how I mourn, so here you are.
This masterpiece is going to the portrait graveyard.
I will be starting it all over again, but im going to do someone else's first so the heartbreak of doing it all over again doesn't make me want to give up. I give you, Terry Patzner, by HPG and toddler.
