We have been trying to wait it out and see what the weather wants to do, but it clearly doesn’t want us to know.

With showers moving through the area throughout the day, it is not going to allow us to put on the racing program we would like.

Beyond that, the severe storm alerts forecasted for this evening are simply not worth the risk to our drivers, crews, staff, and spectators.

With everyone’s safety as our top priority, Highland Speedway has made the difficult decision to cancel racing for Saturday, June 13th.

We appreciate your understanding and support, and we look forward to seeing everyone back at the World Famous Highland Speedway soon. Stay safe!

🎤 We are excited to welcome Shaun Horstmann and Jacob Blumenstein to the announcer’s booth tomorrow evening at the World Famous Highland Speedway!

Both bring a wealth of experience to the microphone—not only on the track, but also from working in various roles around the racetrack. Their knowledge of the sport, the drivers, and what goes on behind the scenes will give fans a unique perspective throughout the night.

Many of you also know them as the hosts of the popular podcast Highland Dirt Parlor, where they share local racing stories, insights, and conversations from the dirt racing community.

Be sure to give Shaun and Jacob a warm Highland Speedway welcome as they step in and help bring you all the action from trackside tomorrow night! 🏁🎙️🔥

Hate to have to do this, but the weather isn’t looking friendly and we are trying to get the water already in/on the track under control! So we are canceling the Open Practice for Tuesday June 9th. Hope to see you Saturday for some great racing!
