We have so much great local entertainment planned for you at our America 250 event!
Music has been a part of Highland's history since its founding, it's hard to pinpoint exactly HOW long the Highland "Muny Band" has been around. But we do know that the very first band played when people got together in 1831. Rodney Washburn has been the longest director, but he doesn't go back quite that far!

Please join us at our celebration the weekend of Sept. 11-13th!
The Muny Band will be performing Sept. 13th at 3:00 and will be playing a wonderful concert in celebration of America 250!

The words "Thank you" just don't seem strong enough to express the appreciation I have for everyone who attended our concerts. Your support is vital to each Friday night in the summer. The arts are an important part of life and benefits those who participate in more ways than just enjoyment. Keep showing your support!

To the players: Thank you for being absolutely amazing! The talent and dedication you bring to each rehearsal and concert is unmatched and it is noticed by more people than you know. Thank you for making my job easy.

To Rodney, our Musical Director: you choose wonderful music for everyone's enjoyment, you provide fascinating historical and educational information for each piece, your programing is something I always look forward to, and you push the players to be the absolute best they can be. Thank you for all you do at the podium and all of the behind the scenes work you do!

Thank you, City of Highland and Highland Parks & Recreation, for allowing me another year to support and manage the band. It has truly been a great honor to do so and I look forward to many years to come.
