REX'S EXES - CREW SPOTLIGHT!

Meet Karen T. - our amazing Director!

Karen first participated in theatre in the 7th grade. She was hooked from the beginning! She was drawn to theater because it provided the most wonderful chance to be someone/somewhere else—getting to be with friends to make a story come alive.

She is always proud of all the productions we put up at Studio B, but there are two that she has directed that are especially meaningful to her…our radio show of “It’s a Wonderful Life” during the holiday season of 2020 and our “The Sound of Music” in 2024.

Karen can’t wait to share the hilarity of this story with our audiences! She has laughed every rehearsal…and always feels “ooo gobs better”!!

Meet Karen L. - one of our Stage Managers!

Karen has been participating in theatre since high school (no comments on how long that is 😉) She needed an elective and the rest as they say, is history! The show that she is most proud of being involved with is Studio B's 2024 production of The Sound of Music. She is excited to get the chance to work with new people and reconnect with longtime friends!

Meet Alexis - one of our Stage Managers!

Alexis has been participating in the theatre for 11 and a half years, and originally started because she wanted to get over her stage fright, but now she loves the behind-the-scenes tech work. She is most proud of her lighting design in Descendants and Seussical Kids. She is most excited for the quick funnies in this show to get their chance in front of an audience.

Meet Abby - our Light & Sound Technician!

Abby has been participating in theatre since her freshman year in high school! She was first drawn to theatre because of the wide variety of artistry, talent and community it takes to bring a whole show together! Each show she loves learning something new!

The show she is most proud to have participated in was in “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying” at FMHS! It was her first time designing the entire set for a musical and loved the process of seeing it on stage!

She is most excited to see the audience laugh and react to this hilarious, energetic story! The cast and crew has done such an amazing job to bring it to life, it’s hard to leave without a smile on your face!

Julie is playing Marlissa Crutchfield, and Tracey is playing Bitsy Hargis. Marlissa is visiting Sweetgum and gets caught up in the chaos that goes along with the Verdeen family.
