What a pleasure it was to visit La Casa De La Cultura Isabelina Inc. and meet Adrian Augusto, the founder and director of the organization, which was founded in 1995!

Hoy, sábado 1ro de agosto de 2026, tuvimos el honor de recibir la visita del Sr. Francisco G. Gómez, director de la organización cultural de Nueva Jersey, Raíces Cultural Center.

Fue un verdadero placer conocerle, compartir ideas y dialogar sobre nuestras respectivas iniciativas culturales. Esperamos comenzar a planificar colaboraciones y proyectos conjuntos en un futuro no muy lejano.

Adquirieron un pirograbado de Los Reyes Magos del artista isabelino en pirografía Julio Colón.

Con profundo pesar, la familia Cepeda y Febres informa el fallecimiento de nuestro amado padre, Mario Cepeda. Hoy su voz se eleva al cielo para seguir cantando bomba, mientras el sonido de sus maracas y el eco de su legado permanecerán vivos en cada barril, en cada canto y en el corazón de nuestro pueblo.

Mario Cepeda dedicó su vida a nuestra cultura, dejando una huella imborrable en la bomba puertorriqueña y en todos los que tuvieron el privilegio de conocerlo. Su legado vivirá por generaciones.

Agradecemos de todo corazón las oraciones, las muestras de cariño y el apoyo brindado a nuestra familia durante este difícil momento. Pedimos que continúen elevando una oración por su eterno descanso y por la fortaleza de todos los que hoy sentimos su partida.

Próximamente estaremos notificando la fecha, hora y lugar del velorio y del sepelio de nuestro guerrero, Mario Cepeda, para que todos aquellos que deseen acompañarnos puedan brindarle el último adiós.

Our spring/summer class cycle concluded last night and over the past ten weeks our students have exceeded our wildest expectations. We had so many students we split up into three class sections, and participants learned variations of 6 different bomba rhythms and how to bring it all together as an ensemble with maraca, cuá, coro and dance. We look forward to growing with you all next cycle, starting in September…stay tuned!
