So...life threw me a curve. I am currently recovering from a dislocated shoulder. I can't hold a camera well enough to produce the high-quality results I expect from myself for my clients.

As a result, the photography side of my business is temporarily closed. If you need a photographer, do contact me; I have a list of very talented local photographers whom I can refer you to.

The good news is that while I can't take pictures, I can restore them. If you have photos that are damaged and need restoration, or you simply want to have your collection of precious family still prints, slides, and negatives digitized, I'm open for business.

Here's a before-and-after sample of a photo that had been stored in a plastic photo album and subjected to heat and humidity over the years. I just fixed it for a client.

I don't like to play favorites, BUT...one event I look forward to photographing every year is the NASA Space Grant Consortium for New Jersey college students. This year's event, held this past Friday at Rutgers, drew a record number of participants.

And as always, it was literally rocket science.

A wise photojournalism teacher once told me: Don't follow the crowd. If all the photographers are running towards something, turn around and see what's going on behind you. You'll get better photos that way.
