Unit 14 Theatre Company Unit 14 Theatre Company is dedicated to enhancing the artistic voice of young adults in the North Shore area.

The unique aspect is that it is solely run and developed by young adults themselves. We use this quote, by Denis Diderot, as our mantra, “Only passion, great passion, can elevate the human soul to achieve great things.” We are doing this because we are passionate about art. We ask you to share in our passion, and help spread the wonder of theatre. This summer, in particular, we will open with a pr

oduction of David Auburn’s Pulitzer Prize winning play, Proof. This play follows the story of Catherine, a young woman struggling with her possible ascent into genius, or downward spiral into madness. The significance of Catherine’s journey weighs heavy as we, as young adults, are trying to form our own identities. In the face of constant change, Proof teaches us to accept our flaws in order to achieve eventual greatness. We understand that it sounds crazy to for some 18 year olds to start a theatre company and put on a show, but with a show like Proof, there needs to be a little bit of crazy in all of us.
