The Ukraine Peace Kitchen is this Sunday, May 1st, 12-7pm!! 1725 N. Avenue 53 Los Angeles, 90042

Please come by for homemade Ukrainian food and to raise money for , an organization providing essential services to Ukrainian refugees.

RSVPs not necessary. Please share and bring a friend. Cash and Venmo only, please.

There will be homemade pierogi, stuffed cabbage, borscht, and kielbasa donated by . Beer and wine generously donated by . There will also be a community bake sale of Ukrainian-inspired dessert and breads! 😋

On May 1st I’ll be turning my home and backyard into a UKRAINE PEACE KITCHEN. All are welcome! People can stop by for Varenyky (aka Pierogies), Holubtsi (aka Stuffed cabbage), Borscht, Ukrainian pastries, and more! Money raised will be donated to . More details to follow but for now mark your calendars!

Why I’m doing this:
I am half Ukrainian. My mother was born to Ukrainian parents who had been taken from their homes by the N***s and turned into forced laborers (Ostarbeiters) during WWII. My mother was born 4 days after the war came to an end. She was born a refugee. I’m the first member of my family to grow up outside the shadow of war. Witnessing my family I can see how the scars left by war never fully heal.

The Russian invasion of Ukraine is devastating and poses an existential threat to Ukraine’s sovereignty and cultural heritage. Inspired by the activism of , , and the movement, I hope to help keep attention focused on Ukraine and encourage people everywhere to continue putting pressure on world leaders to intervene and stop Putin. I also want to share and celebrate the food I grew up loving, especially since it’s hard to come by in Los Angeles! Every dollar raised will go directly to organizations providing emergency relief to Ukrainian children.
