Group shot of the “rust patches” I’ve been making.
I know people struggle with titling their work. To be honest, I’m OK at that. A sense of humor is the most important! A clever turn of phrase, double entendre… sometimes restating the effing obvious.
BUT …. Coming up with a name for this collection, this style of product, this line of artwork. Whatever you wanna call it. Has been difficult. I think I’m on my third or fourth name (the current is Rust Patches noted above).
They are flattish tile looking mixed media assemblages. Most of the current are 24” or 60” by 5”, although they could up to 48” practically speaking. I want different designs that I can repeat for different color palettes to be able to group these on the wall as a collection or…
Using them end-to-end as door surrounds, fireplace frames (think: tile and mosaic) or other stuff I haven’t thought of.
If anyone has any brilliant ideas or happens to be near a thesaurus … I’d appreciate your inputs.
