🎭 TALES OF THE HIDALGO PUMPHOUSE — A NIGHT OF HISTORY & ART 🏛️❤️

Last Saturday, September 5th, the Hidalgo Pumphouse Museum and World Birding Center came alive through the power of live theater as the Pharr Community Theater presented “Tales of the Hidalgo Pumphouse.”

Through storytelling, local history, and the arts, audiences had the opportunity to connect with the people, stories, and legacy behind one of Hidalgo’s most treasured landmarks.

A special thank you to Lucio G. Rivera & Pedro Garcia, Director Pedro Garcia, the Pharr Community Theater, our local partners, volunteers, staff, and everyone who helped make this special evening possible.

Preserving history is more than protecting buildings — it is preserving the stories, culture, and memories that connect generations. Events like this demonstrate how important the arts are in keeping those stories alive.

As we continue revitalizing and preserving the Hidalgo Historic District, we encourage everyone to support local artists, attend local events, and SHOP LOCAL. When we invest in our community, we help preserve its past while creating opportunities for its future.
