💔 DEPUTY MURDERED. PRAYERS REQUESTED 💔 A routine welfare check turned deadly. Deputy Sheriff Logan Utt of the Carroll County Sheriff's Office in Virginia was shot and killed on May 29, 2026, while responding to a welfare check call. Authorities say that when Deputy Utt and another deputy arrived at the scene, the suspect opened fire without warning. Deputy Utt made the ultimate sacrifice. A second deputy was struck in his ballistic vest and survived after receiving medical treatment.
The suspect fled the scene and remains at large as a massive manhunt continues. Deputy Utt was a military veteran, a public servant, a husband, and a father. He had served for more than two years, dedicating his life to protecting others. Rest Easy Brother. Prayers for his family of blue and blood.

On this date - May 10 in 1977, I walked into a room and sat down for what would be the first of many "roll calls" of a 30 year career in law enforcement. And what a roller-coaster ride it was! I wouldn't want to do it again but I wouldn't take nothing for all the experiences, friendships and relationships I made along the way! Ho! Ho! Ho! 👮‍♂️🎅💙
