With heavy hearts, we must share that the hum will be closing indefinitely after this season.

We want to thank the musicians who shared their talent on our stage, every staff member who worked behind the scenes, and every person who came out to support live music. Your presence and energy have meant the world to us.

We especially want to thank our sponsors. We simply could not have done any of this without their generosity and belief in our mission. Their support helped us keep the doors open, the lights on, and the music playing.

We also want to be honest: venues like ours can only exist when the community actively supports them. When people don’t attend shows, when tickets go unsold, spaces like the hum eventually go dark.

Our hope is that this message serves as a gentle reminder...if you love live music, local art, and independent venues, please show up for them. Your support is the only way they survive.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being part of the journey. We’ll always be grateful for the memories made at the hum.

All being said, we hope to see you Saturday for our last show of the season. Tickets are on sale now. It would mean the world to us if you came out!

Meet ...Described by many as having "capturing, haunting, and angelic vocals," Lochlann continues to enchant audiences with her ethereal sound and heartfelt performances.

Meet A Statesville, NC native Karla is a prominent singer song writer that blends Americana folk and soul. Creating music about life love and the stories on between.

Meet Sara is a Hickory native whose dream came true when she shared the stage with the original Effie, Jennifer Holliday, in a production of Dreamgirls at The Muny. She now spends most of her time as the Director of Marketing for a local boutique that is expanding into franchises.

performs both original & cover songs within multiple genres that include Americana, Classic Rock, Jam, Bluegrass and R&B and have pleased crowds of all shapes and sizes since 2013, playing venues, breweries, and festivals across NC.
