2026–2027 Competition Team Auditions start TOMORROW and we are so excited to kick off another season with our APD dancers ✨

Our competition team is truly something special. It’s a place where dancers grow not only in their technique, but in their confidence, friendships, and love for performing. We strive to create a positive, supportive environment where dancers are challenged, celebrated, and inspired to be their very best 💜

We are looking for dancers who:⭐ Are passionate about dance⭐ Seem to dance everywhere they go⭐ Are hardworking and self-motivated⭐ Love being on stage and performing

Thursday Audition Class Times (Learning Choreography Only):
✨ Minis (Ages 5–7): 5:00–6:00 PM
✨ Petites (Ages 8–9): 5:00–6:00 PM
✨ Juniors (Ages 10–12): 6:00–7:00 PM
✨ Teens (Ages 13–15): 7:00–8:00 PM
✨ Seniors (Ages 16–18): 7:00–8:00 PM

Friday audition times will be shared via email following Thursday’s choreography classes.

We can’t wait to see all of our dancers shine and begin a new season full of growth, goals, memories, and unforgettable moments ✨

It's the day of the show!!! We are beyond excited that recital weekend is finally here. After months of hard work, rehearsals, growth, and preparation, we are so proud to watch our dancers take the stage and showcase everything they’ve worked for this season.

What has dance taught you?
“Dance has taught me to be resilient, determined, and kind. The studio’s values have shaped me into a better version of myself, and to always treat others with respect. My self-confidence has grown tremendously while dancing at Aimee’s, and that self-confidence has made me a better dancer and a harder worker. I’ve learned from dance that even though I don’t have sisters, my team has filled that with all of their kindness and humor. I’m going to miss competing and recitals so much, but I can’t wait to see how the studio grows!”

Today we’re celebrating APD senior, Sophi Lee 💜

✨ Plans after graduation: Attend Doane University where she will be a part of the dance team while majoring in elementary and special education.

What has dance taught you?
“Dance has taught me to be myself. I was never a confident kid but through dance I was able to be who I wanted to be and to show the emotions I couldn’t always say.”

One of our favorite recital traditions each year is covering the mirrors and letting our dancers make them their own as their excitement grows in anticipation of an audience for recital🤍

What started years ago as drawings and “audiences” has slowly turned into something even more special… little notes of encouragement, reminders, inside jokes, and messages written to teammates all across the studio mirrors ✨

Moments like this remind us what APD is really about.

Of course we want our dancers to train hard, grow technically, and succeed on stage. But even more than that, we want this studio to be a place where dancers feel supported, valued, confident, and loved for exactly who they are.

A place where kindness comes naturally. Where teammates become family.
And where the environment we create matters just as much as the performances themselves.

Watching our dancers build that culture on their own is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do 💜

We are ONE WEEK AWAY from recital, and our hearts are beaming with pride. We can't wait to show you what our students have been working so hard for all year.

Today we’re celebrating APD senior, Justice Ostrander 💜

🎓 Norris High School
🌊 Plans after graduation: Attend Coastal Carolina University to study marine science with hopes of pursuing a career in marine biology focused on shark biology.

Justice is excited to continue volunteering, getting involved in clubs, and growing through new experiences along the way ✨

We are so proud of you, Justice, and can’t wait to see where this next adventure takes you!

SNEAK PEAK: Behind the scenes of our Mario Bros Ballet! 🍄⭐️👀

From Mario and Luigi to Princess Peach, Bowser, Donkey Kong, Toad, and all the fun characters in between… the ballet magic is officially in the works 🎮✨

Our dancers and teachers have been working SO hard behind the scenes bringing this ballet to life, and we cannot wait for everyone to see all the creativity, energy, costumes, and storytelling come together on stage. There are even a couple of surprise cameo appearances you won't want to miss... 😉
