HHS Indoor Guard & Percussion programs are hosting an indoor arts competition - the first ever “Cocoa Classic." Come see units from across Pennsylvania compete in twirling, dance, color guard, and percussion. The competition begins at 1pm in the HHS gymnasium. HHS Indoor Drumline performs at 1:18pm and HHS Color Guard performs at 7:06pm.

Today starts the beginning of our yearly fundraiser for the indoor color guard program! We are selling Butter Braids and Joyful Traditions Cake Rolls through Freckled Moose. This fundraiser helps offset costs for our new uniforms that we purchased this season. These delicious products are absolutely perfect for sides or desserts around the December holidays - and are ready for you just in time as well! If you would like to place an order, please choose a guard member you know that you would like to buy from and then arrangements can be made between you and that guard member for you to receive your products. If you are not familiar with any of this year's guard members, you may also choose the "Hershey Music Boosters" seller and come to our pick-up on December 20th (you would receive more details via the email you list when ordering). The HHS Indoor Color Guard & Indoor Percussion Ensemble will be closing out our 2021 season this Saturday at 3pm! Our members are allowed 2 invited guests to see the show in-person, but you can still watch the performance via livestream on the Hershey Music Boosters page!

Today we had our first performance of the season for a limited number of in-person friends and family - as well as those who watched the livestream. Also a special shout out to the first ever performance of the Hershey HS Indoor Percussion Ensemble!

As the official TIA season comes to a close, let's take a minute to reflect on the success of our indoor guard this season. We attended three competitions: East Pennsboro, Lower Dauphin, and Conrad Weiser. At our first competition, we were one of the highest scoring groups at the show. At our second competition, we jumped over 8 points within four weeks. At our last competition, we jumped almost 7 points in one week. This final jump put us in the #1 slot of 42 groups in our TIA class, and put us under review to be promoted to the next class. The season came to an unfortunate abrupt close before our next competition the following week, but we could not have ended the season on a better note. Thank you to all students, parents, DTSD staff, and TIA staff for all of the hard work, encouragement, and support throughout our 2020 season.

Check out our color guard pages on the new Hershey Bands website at www.hersheybands.org ! The outdoor color guard program is found under the "Marching Band" tab, and the indoor color guard program is found under the "Ensembles" tab. All photos from previous and future indoor guard competitions will now be hosted on our Google Drive (link found on the indoor guard webpage) instead of here on our page. The primary purpose of this page now is to advertise the success of our program and to share recruitment information for both color guard programs.
