🚨Please be advised that the main entrance to ZooAmerica will be temporarily closed for sidewalk construction beginning September 30, with an expected reopening in mid-November.

During this time, visitors can continue to use the ZooAmerica parking lot and enter via Zoo Gate C by following posted directional signage. Guests coming from Hersheypark can continue to utilize the Zoo Bridge.

ZooAmerica remains open daily from 10 AM to 4:30 PM. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we complete these necessary facility improvements!

👋 It's Black-footed Ferret Rediscovery Day! What does that mean?
4️⃣5️⃣ years ago, a black-footed ferret was found by a ranch dog named Shep after the species was previously declared extinct!
While they still remain one of the most endangered mammals in North America, the efforts of MANY organizations are ensuring their future recovery. This year, 470 kits were born and many will be released at 13 different release sites in the United States.

ZooAmerica serves as a display facility for black-footed ferrets. We house retired black-footed ferrets that were not chosen for release as we share the story of their incredible comeback with our visitors. Here is Thanos, our curious 5 year old male. Stop by to see him in the Great Southwest area!
