I do not require contracts and that was for mine and your benefit and has worked well, until today.

I was hired to provide DJ/ Entertainment service for a Company (Progress Residential) Holiday Event back on November 20th for an event tonight December 5th. Was told the event started at 6 with dinner and awards, and I would begin around 8. I drove from Hernando, MS to Germantown, TN, made it to the venue ahead of time so I was not setting up during dinner and awards. I setup for about 45 minutes. Only for the person who hired me to come tell me her company American Express wouldn’t go through on Venmo or PayPal, they knew because earlier today they tried and it wouldn’t work. A simple message earlier today (when they attempted with someone else) would have worked for me to cancel. Then as I broke down my equipment another DJ showed up!

Looks like contracts will start 2023!
