That’s because tattoo healing is personal.

Your skin type, age, hydration, stress levels, circulation, lifestyle habits, and even where the tattoo sits on your body all play a role in the final result.

A tattoo doesn’t always look its best right away.

Flaking, dullness, softer lines, uneven healing, or black looking less saturated at first can be part of a normal healing journey—not automatically a bad tattoo.

Healing is part of the art.

Thinking summer is a bad time to get tattooed? ☀️👀

Not exactly.

Yes… I may have a suspiciously convincing French accent 🇫🇷
Yes… my clients sometimes fall asleep during sessions 😴
Yes… you may become slightly obsessed with checking your new tattoo in every mirror.

BUT.

Summer tattoos are absolutely possible when they heal properly.

A few golden rules:

☀️ Keep your fresh tattoo completely out of direct sun
💦 Clean gently, especially after sweating
👕 Wear loose breathable clothing
🧴 Moisturize (but don’t overdo it)
🏖️ Avoid pools, ocean, hot tubs, and soaking while healing
💧 Stay hydrated—healthy skin heals better
🏋🏻 Skip intense sweaty workouts for at least a week

A clever idea. Made permanent. Believe or not but this tattoo was born at work —
300 feet in the air.

My client works in inspection, often hanging from ropes and measuring bolts that need to be replaced.
One day, without his ruler, the idea hit him:

What if I always had one with me?

So we created a 1:1 scale ruler tattoo — clean, precise, and fully functional.
A tool on the body.
A tattoo that represents what he does for a living.

I love pieces like this — when tattoos aren’t just aesthetic, but intentional and personal.
